Fiddler on the Roof (1987)

As mentioned earlier, High School brought me back down to earth. Amoung a talent-laden group of upper classmen, I was given the role of Avrahm, the bookseller in this the first of two shows I would perform twice. The glued-on beards gave me nightmares for years following. I could actually smell the spirit-gum used to attach the carpet-looking facial hair to acne-covered teenage face. But the role was great to play, and gave me a better feel for the show that would help me years later as I auditioned in hopes of gaining the role of Motel the Tailor. Pictured below is me as Avrahm, in the town of Anatevka's number one Jewish bar.
